Pressure Reducing Valve

Specializing in standard and custom high-pressure valves for water hydraulics and other high-pressure water systems.

PRESSURE REDUCING (REGULATING) VALVES

FOR WATER, 95/5, OIL OR OTHER LIQUIDS

A pneumatic valve actuator with a labeled diaphragm is shown. An arrow points to the diaphragm with text stating, “35 PSI (2.4 Bar) air recommended on diaphragm.” A pressure regulator with gauge is shown on the right.
Line graph with air pressure on diaphragm (15–100 PSI) on the x-axis and approximate secondary hydraulic pressure (0–4500 PSI) on the y-axis; two lines labeled D-123-A and D-123-L show positive correlations.

The Valv-Trol Pressure Reducing Valve is used to regulate or reduce primary hydraulic pressure for presses and cylinders for tonnage control. It comes complete with a Precision Air Regulator and Air Gauge.

Adjustment of hydraulic pressure is made by changing the air pressure on the diaphragm top. The graph below shows the relationship of air to hydraulic pressure.

Internally, the skirted discs provide a gradual change in the rate of flow.
Proven to be very resistant to the effects of corrosion, wear, and wire drawing for longer service life.

Seat, disc, and piston assembly made of hardened stainless steel.
Proven to be very resistant to the effects of corrosion, wear, and wire drawing for longer service life.

Seating surface is separate from throttling surface.
Even with accumulated wear on throttling surface, valve will shut off tightly. No need to provide constant bleed of fluid on secondary side.

Our valves are all subjected to 100% pressure testing to ensure a drop tight seal before we ship to our customers.
